Premium 12/14 Red Devon bulbs. Bold lemon-yellow flowers carry a vivid deep-orange, frilled cup for exceptional spring contrast. Typically flowering in April and reaching around 40–45cm. A reliable choice for borders, containers, naturalising and cutting.
The display
Red Devon pairs broad lemon-yellow petals with a strongly coloured, frilled orange cup. The warm contrast reads clearly from a distance, making it useful for lively border groups, roadside planting and spring containers.
Why you’ll love it
- Flower colour: Lemon yellow with deep orange cup
- Flowering time: April
- Height: Approximately 40–45cm
- Best for: Borders, containers and cut flowers

Planting advice
Plant during September–November with the growing point uppermost where it is visible. Set the bulbs or corms approximately 10–15cm deep and 10cm apart. Choose full sun or partial shade in moderately fertile, moist but well-drained soil. Water after planting if the soil is dry, but avoid ground that remains waterlogged.
Aftercare
After flowering, remove spent blooms if desired and leave the foliage in place for at least six weeks, or until it yellows naturally. Established clumps can be divided when flowering begins to decline.

Healthy planting stock in 12/14cm grade, carefully packed by Patch and ready for autumn planting. Available pack sizes: 10 bulbs, 25 bulbs, 50 bulbs, 100 bulbs.
Please note: Ornamental bulbs and corms are not for eating. The bulbs are supplied dormant; natural marks on the outer skin are normal. Flowering time, height and colour intensity can vary with local weather, soil and growing conditions.

Planting & Care
When & Where to Plant
Plant from September to November in full sun or partial shade. Choose moderately fertile soil that stays reasonably moist in spring but drains well through winter.
Spacing & Depth
- Plant pointed end upwards at 10–15cm deep.
- Allow 10cm between bulbs.
- For natural-looking displays, scatter bulbs and plant them where they fall.
Containers & Naturalising
Daffodils grow well in pots, borders and grass. In lawns, delay mowing until the foliage has yellowed and died back. Avoid permanently wet sites.
Variety-specific Advice
Red Devon is a taller large-cupped daffodil. Plant through sturdy border perennials or in a reasonably sheltered position to support the stems in exposed gardens.
After Flowering
Deadhead spent blooms, but do not cut or tie the leaves. Allow at least six weeks for the foliage to die back naturally. Congested clumps can be lifted and divided after flowering.
Delivery & Bulb Info
Dispatch & Delivery
Flower bulbs are dispatched during the autumn planting season. Where possible, items from the same order will be grouped into one delivery.
Quality & Storage
Your bulbs are carefully sourced, graded and packed by Patch. Plant promptly after arrival. If necessary, keep unopened bulbs briefly in a cool, dry, airy place away from frost, heat and direct sunlight.
What You Will Receive
The pack size selected above refers to the number of bulbs or corms supplied. Bulb grade is measured around the circumference; a larger grade generally contains greater stored energy for the first season.
Safety
Ornamental bulbs and corms are not for eating. Keep them away from children and pets.
