Planting advice
Plant during September–November with the growing point uppermost where it is visible. Set the bulbs or corms approximately 5cm deep and 15cm apart. Choose full sun or partial shade in humus-rich, freely drained soil. Water after planting if the soil is dry, but avoid ground that remains waterlogged.
Aftercare
The small, irregular corms may be soaked in lukewarm water for a few hours before planting to help them rehydrate. Leave the foliage to die back naturally after flowering.

Planting & Care
When & Where to Plant
Plant in autumn in full sun or partial shade, ideally beneath deciduous shrubs or at the front of a border. Choose humus-rich, well-drained soil.
Preparing & Planting the Corms
- Soak the dry corms in lukewarm water for a few hours before planting.
- Plant 5cm deep and approximately 15cm apart.
- The irregular corms do not have an obvious top; planting them on their side is suitable.
Variety-specific Advice
Soak the dry corms for several hours before planting. Anemone blanda gradually forms low spring colonies and is particularly useful beneath deciduous shrubs, where it receives light in spring and shade later in the season.
After Flowering
Allow foliage to die back naturally. In suitable soil, plants gradually spread into attractive spring colonies.
Delivery & Bulb Info
Dispatch & Delivery
Flower bulbs are dispatched during the autumn planting season. Where possible, items from the same order will be grouped into one delivery.
Quality & Storage
Your bulbs are carefully sourced, graded and packed by Patch. Plant promptly after arrival. If necessary, keep unopened bulbs briefly in a cool, dry, airy place away from frost, heat and direct sunlight.
What You Will Receive
The pack size selected above refers to the number of bulbs or corms supplied. Bulb grade is measured around the circumference; a larger grade generally contains greater stored energy for the first season.
