Mixed Spring Bulb Collection – Luxury Spring-Flowering Bulbs & Corms

A six-variety spring collection designed for colour in successive waves: Park Dreamaway and Tarda tulips, Tête Bouclé and Minnow daffodils, Muscari armeniacum and Anemone blanda. Ideal for layered pots and broad border drifts.

The display

Six complementary varieties flower in overlapping waves rather than all at once: Park Dreamaway and Tarda tulips, Tête Bouclé and Minnow daffodils, Muscari armeniacum and Anemone blanda. Use them together in layered pots or spread them through a border for colour from the low early flowers through to the taller tulips and daffodils.

Why you’ll love it

  • Flower colour: Blue, white, yellow, red and mixed spring tones
  • Flowering time: Early to late spring
  • Height: Approximately 10–45cm
  • Best for: Layered containers, borders, drifts and long-season spring colour
  • Bulb grade: Mixed premium grades
  • Hardiness: Hardy in freely drained soil

Planting advice

Plant during September–November. For the most natural display, loosen the soil thoroughly and distribute the bulbs in informal groups rather than straight rows. Where the collection contains different bulb types, follow the stated depth range and place the larger bulbs deepest, with smaller bulbs or corms nearer the surface. Choose full sun or partial shade in fertile, freely drained soil. Water after planting if the soil is dry, but avoid ground that remains waterlogged.

Aftercare

After flowering, leave the foliage to yellow and die back naturally so each bulb or corm can rebuild its reserves. Flowering time and height will vary slightly with weather, soil and local growing conditions.

What you’ll receive

Healthy planting stock in Mixed premium grades, carefully packed by Patch and ready for autumn planting. Available pack sizes: 150, 300, 600.

Please note: Ornamental bulbs and corms are not for eating. The bulbs are supplied dormant; natural marks on the outer skin are normal. Flowering time, height and colour intensity can vary with local weather, soil and growing conditions.

Planting & Care

When & Where to Plant

Plant from September to November in fertile, freely drained soil, in full sun or partial shade. This collection includes bulbs and corms of different sizes, so do not plant every item at one uniform depth.

Planting Depths

  • Tulips and daffodils: approximately 10–15cm deep.
  • Muscari: approximately 8cm deep.
  • Anemone blanda: soak for several hours, then plant approximately 5cm deep and 15cm apart.

Creating a Natural Mix

For borders, mix the bulbs and plant them in irregular groups while keeping taller tulips and daffodils towards the rear. In deep containers, use a layered “bulb lasagne”: larger bulbs lower down and smaller bulbs nearer the surface, with a layer of compost between them.

Collection-specific Advice

The collection combines Park Dreamway and Tarda tulips, Tête Bouclé and Minnow daffodils, Muscari armeniacum and Anemone blanda.

After Flowering

Remove faded flowers where practical, but allow every variety’s foliage to yellow and die back naturally before cutting it away. This replenishes the bulbs for the following year.

Delivery & Bulb Info

Dispatch & Delivery

Flower bulbs are dispatched during the autumn planting season. Where possible, items from the same order will be grouped into one delivery.

Quality & Storage

Your bulbs are carefully sourced, graded and packed by Patch. Plant promptly after arrival. If necessary, keep unopened bulbs briefly in a cool, dry, airy place away from frost, heat and direct sunlight.

What You Will Receive

The pack size selected above refers to the number of bulbs or corms supplied. Bulb grade is measured around the circumference; a larger grade generally contains greater stored energy for the first season.

Safety

Ornamental bulbs and corms are not for eating. Keep them away from children and pets.
