How To GrowĀ Wheatgrass:Ā Place aĀ tray with holes inside a tray with no holes.Ā Fill the tray with holes with 1 inch of fine compost. Compact the compost. Spread the Wheatgrass seeds evenly over the compost, leaving a little between each seed. Press the seeds into the soil. Water the seeds and soil. Place a tray with no holes on top of the seeds and soil. Add roughly 2kg of weight into the tray, so the seeds are kept pressed into the soil.
After 5 – 6 days the Weatgrass will be pushing the weighted tray up into the air. Remove the weighted tray, and place them under a grow light, onto a window sill, or into light in a greenhouse. Water every second day by pouring water into the bottom tray with no holes, until day 10 – 12.
Harvest all of the Wheat grass using a sharp knife or scissors. Store the harvested Wheatgrass in the refrigerator.
