How to grow

Place a tray with holes inside a tray with no holes. Fill the tray with holes with 1 inch of fine compost. Compact the compost. Spread the Wheatgrass seeds evenly over the compost, leaving a little between each seed. Press the seeds into the soil. Water the seeds and soil. Place a tray with no holes on top of the seeds and soil. Add roughly 2kg of weight into the tray, so the seeds are kept pressed into the soil. After 5–6 days the Weatgrass will be pushing the weighted tray up into the air. Remove the weighted tray, and place them under a grow light, onto a window sill, or into light in a greenhouse. Water every second day by pouring water into the bottom tray with no holes, until day 10–12. Harvest all of the Wheat grass using clean scissors or a sharp knife. Store the harvested Wheatgrass in the refrigerator.

Cut the shoots with clean scissors at the recommended stage and use them fresh while their texture and flavour are at their best.
